Review of L'ORÉAL Paris COLORISTA Washout #Turquoisehair

Image
Do you ever feel like you need to change something about yourself? Maybe get a new haircut, hairstyle, outfit or perhaps dye your hair ? This is me all the time! Having naturally dark brown frizz-prone and dry curly hair means that I am quite limited in my options . I don't want to bleach  (my hair is already moisture-deprived ), I also don't want to straighten (heat damage, split ends and straw hair - no thanks) and lastly, I don't want to go hairdressers as I am   paranoid they will butcher my hair (I have never and will never step foot inside a hairdressers)! In my lifetime, the only people who have dealt with my hair are my parents, grandmas and my close friends. They have only done basic things to my hair such as brush/comb, plait, braid and cane row (cornrow if you're American). I have also straightened my hair and dyed it myself a few times in the past but I can honestly say that I have never gone to a hairdressers. Given all ...

Review of DIRECTORS CUT & BRIOCHE BURGER in Walthamstow

Image
Recently, I have found two new restaurants in Walthamstow . The first one I shall review is called Director's Cut (DC) which serves burgers, steaks, full english breakfast, milkshakes and ice cream . The second is called Brioche Burger (BB) ... I'm sure you can already figure out what they sell!!! Let's get started! DIRECTORS CUT: DC is located in the recently refurbished Walthamstow opposite Pizza Express. It has an attractive black and white colour scheme for the outside. The bull logo represents their specialism is steaks and that they mean business, so you should expect a memorable steak if you do order it! The roll film highlights the name making it stand out from other restaurants. It is an American style restaurant and based on the name, their theme is obviously film which becomes clear when you see the posters on the wall. You getting that lights, camera... action moment?? Have you been transported into a Hollywood movie set ??...  ...

PART 2 - On a mission to find the best Brand of Coconut water in London

Image
If you haven't already read my first post about coconut water, I advise you to do so! My previous post provides key information about coconut water such as where it grows , the taste and its health benefits . For those of you who did read it you will remember that I reviewed 2 brands of coconut water which were gross FOCO  (trust me it was bad) and drinkable ASDA . On my grocery shop last week I found another brand called UFC (no, this does not stand for Ultimate Fighting Championship). It is a coconut water brand that comes from Bangkok, Thailand . This is by far the best coconut water I have found so far, it tastes just like the coconut water from a green coconut ! I enjoyed it so much I pretty much finished it within the same day !! I bought it from ASDA . You can also buy it from TESCO . Here is the review. UFC PRICE: £2.50 CLOSENESS TO FRESH COCONUT WATER: 9/ 10 OVERALL RATING: 9/10 NO NEGATIVES!! POSITIVES: ACCEPTABLE PRICE - EXCE...

Review of #hashtag fish and chips... Green Lanes

Image
You can't be called a Londoner if you don't like Fish n Chips! I am from North London where there is a fish and chip shop on almost every road so I am spoilt for choice! Whenever a new fish and chips takeaway appears I make it my business to check it out. Recently I have discovered a new fish and chips joint pop up on Green Lanes but it does not look like your typical small take away, because it is actually a restaurant! It is called #hashtagfishandchips. I know... You cannot get any more simple and modern than that! As I walked inside the staff instantly greeted me then asked "take away or eat in?" I decided to eat in and to my surprise I was given the freedom to choose my own table! I found a nice, spacious, cosy corner further into the restaurant. The presence of the fireplace provided a homely feeling. Upon getting comfy at my table I was presented with #hashtagfishandchips' menu. At first I could not choose which fish to order but I en...

Coconut water freshly drunk from it's original source has got to be the best tasting natural drink of all time! Me holding a green coconut in Tegallalang Rice Fields Ubud, Bali 2016 Forget about fresh orange, apple, pineapple and watermelon juice, coconut water is the drink to be having on a hot British summer's day! Not only is coconut water a refreshing drink, but it has numerous health benefits . Being low in calories means that it will help you to lose weight , so they are great for anyone watching their figure. Coconut water is also perfect for rehydrating your body and contains magnesium which may alleviate headaches . Drinking it regularly can also prevent wrinkles  and  cancer,  as well as  lower blood pressure, aid digestion and remove toxins from the body because it consists of essential minerals, vitamins and electrolytes. I love Green Coconuts aka Jelly Nuts , the water is sweet with subtle hints of coconut . It is slightly cl...
