Review of TANGLE TEEZER Salon Elite Professional Detangling Hairbrush

This is for my curly girls... Where you at??

Okay so for a very long time now (half my life). I have been searching for a comb or brush that can actually comb through my hair. When I say comb, I mean 100% untangle my clumped, tangled, frizzy and dry curls easily, quickly and the main one painlessly.

I stumbled upon this miracle hair saver by chance at the Islington, Angel Boots branch, in obviously, London.

I was in the brush isle of the store and was telling my mother I need a brush to smooth/slick down my naturally unruly hair, when a lovely woman overheard our conversation and suggested I try out TANGLE TEEZER Thick & Curly.

On first glance I was sceptical when I looked at it, I just thought how can this work on my hair, (my hair is mixed) the plastic teeth look flimsy and well basically it looked like a purple/pink beetle inside a see-through plastic box! Gone are the days of a long handle!

Anyways I picked up the box from the hook and took a better look at it. I read the sides which I have paraphrased: it detangles hair pain-free and effortlessly on dry or wet hair.  It also has been specially designed to fit snugly in the palm of your hand, so it should not slip out whilst using. 

Now upon reading that I was sold, however there was still a pessimistic part of me that said it might not work and for me spending £10.99 on something I have no idea works is a gamble.

I didn't buy it... BUT... READ ON... I was determined to find more about this new type of hairbrush so I went online and looked at some reviews on the TANGLE TEEZER website. Reviewers said it does what it says. and were pleased. Thick & Curly is rated 4.7 out of 5.

I searched online for the same brush hoping to come across a bargain and found it on myhairandbeauty.co.uk for £6.99. YIPPEE KAI YAY!

I went to the actual store which is in Green Lanes, North London but I didn't find the exact brush aimed at thick & curly hair, which I wanted. However, I bought the TANGLE TEEZER SALON Elite for £7.99 plus some other hair products I am yet to try out.

As soon as I got home I removed it from the box, inspected it and then began brushing my hair in sections... And WOW, was I IMPRESSED. It is AMAZING! The way it GLIDED through my strands without tugging and ripping my hair. I was so happy, finally I have found a brush that can brush through my whole head of curls quickly and easily.

If I wet and moisturise my hair then use this magical hair-changing brush to reveal smooth beautiful hair I can do dutch braids, fish plaits, plain cute pigtails and so much more.

Before I had to straighten my hair to do these hairstyles as my hair was impossible to tame in it's dry frizzy state.

Now I can style my hair without straightening. This is a huge accomplishment for me! Now I have control over my curls instead of the curls controlling me! This hairbrush is a massive time saver, no more spending hours on end taming the mane!

IMPORTANT!!

**These brushes are not to be used with heat. Heat will melt the brush because it is made from plastic. I know some like to use the hairdryer whilst brushing their hair to get a straight effect. Please do not be tempted to do it or you may ruin your brush! I advise to style with damp/wet/moisturised hair. 

**The helpful lady who recommended this brush brand to me if you are reading this I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU. I would still probably be searching for a brush right now and using my unbreakable comb yanking out my hair in agony and not being able to try out different braids and styles.
